Harrisburg-area teens have kids' backs in anti-bullying group
When I see someone who was bullied, I talk to them, even if it’s just to say, ‘Hi’ or ‘How are you doing?’ " That’s the message that Big Boys in Training emphasized to nearly 250 youths during an afternoon of free bowling, food and the first public showing of its 17-minute video called "Athletes Against Bullying."

Time for some Big Boys

One of my favorite football players in my 24 years at The Harrisburg Patriot-News was Harrisburg lineman Jamien Harvey. Harvey was definitely one of the better players I saw during my quarter-century at the P-N – he went on to a very nice career at West Virginia University – but he was in league, athletically, with several other high-caliber players in the midstate. What helped to set Harvey apart was his character. Harvey is as caring as he is tough.

"The Big Boys camp is about having respect for the game," said camp organizer and Big Boys in Training Director Jamien Harvey. "It's about all those who have paved the way before us as linemen. The slogan for this year's camp is 'The game is won in the trenches.' I stand behind that slogan and am a firm believer of just what it says.
MCDEVITT POWERS PAST HARRISBURG, 41-16, IN OPENER
I don't look as playing Harrisburg as playing my Alma Mater. Kids are kids. The kids here are the same as the kids over there; I love all these kids. My organization, Big Boys in Training, says that any kid that needs help, just come see me.
