Big Boys in Training & STARS presents the
“Future Big Boys”
Starting Sunday, April 11, 2010 BBIT will teach the Future Big Boys and STARS a thing or two about the game of football. The program is geared towards beginners and will be held for children ages 3 through 6.
(We will be teaching NO CONTACT football fundamentals)
If your child is an experienced football player or just starting football, this 6 week mini camp is right for them! By working with midget and high school coaches, they will learn much more than just football! They will be taught teamwork, self discipline, consideration of others, and how to attain their potential on the field and in life. We will also stress the importance of achieving success in the classroom and selecting the correct role models and friends. Don’t allow your son or daughter to start their first year of smurf or pewee football with out knowing the basics.
The 6 and under youth football group is very special and will receive personalized attention and youth football instruction. Learning proper technique at this age is very important, but our staff never forgets that "football is a game;" making sure each football practice is fun. The program will be one day out of the week and will last approximately an hour and a half; this will ensure that the young athletes will not burn out or peak early before their season’s starts.
What are the basics?
· Proper Stretching · Position on the field · Football agilities · Catching · Throwing · All Position Stances
|
· Breathing · Tackling · Ball carrying · Body position · Conditioning
|
Parents
A parent must be present at every work-out to in sure the young athletes maintain proper behavior. Our staff will work with the athletes on proper behavior, but the parent will be ultimately responsible. Parents that would like to volunteer are more then welcome (come to the meeting before the work-out so you are on the same page as the rest of the coaches).
Cost/Donation
The cost of this program is $35.00 donation per child covering the duration of the camp. In return, each athlete will receive one “Future Big Boy” t-shirt also six days of training. Please understand this program is run strictly as a fundraiser for our non-profit Big Boys in Training/STARS, none of the coaches or volunteers will receive any compensation.
